Name: Killia
Age: 2075
Canon: Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance
History: The wiki gives a decent rundown of his history prior to the events of Disgaea 5, but I'll surmise the game briefly. And as a note if you'd like more detail anywhere please let me know.

In the beginning Killia had no desire to embark on his journey for vengeance with anyone else but himself, let alone lead an entire army. In fact when he first encounters Seraphina in Blood Parch he tries to leave immediately after saving her, even among her protests and complains. Eventually though he gives in and accompanies her back to her Pocket Netherworld, though it's more in the context of a mutual benefit than a true alliance. Later when they encounter and defeat Red Magnus, he looks it as much the same-- all three of them wanted to stop Void, and that's all there was to it. He repeats this to himself (and his other self), even as Killidia mocks him for joining up with others.

It's not until Christo joins the party that Killia realizes that this group is becoming a little more than just "demons joined together to kill an asshole even by demon standards", but an actual camarderie. Again he tries to leave when Christo suggests they form an army against Void Dark, the Rebel Army, but he's stopped by the logic of how foolish it really would be to go alone at this point. Still it's an uncomfortable realization that he's starting to grow closer to others, as he feels that history is destined to repeat itself, and he can't stand the thought of losing someone like he lost Lieze.

Fortunately he gets a bit of a distraction upon the entrance of Zeroken, a young demon with a whole lot of bravado, but not much else. During a fight on Poisondise against the Lost Army, the two realize that they have an identical skill which should be unique to only them, as it was one of Goldion's skills. Though Zeroken throws an accusation that Killia is a thief, he mostly shrugs it off even if he is curious, especially considering the fate of Goldion is unknown.

The Lost Army stops for no one however, and Killia soon finds himself in another predicament on Demunshroom where he's pitted against The Lost and a strange rabid bunny type creature. It turns out that said creature is actually a young demon girl named Usalia who was cursed by Majorita, one of Voids generals. Luckily the (temporary) cure to her curse is to eat curry, which Killia is immensely skilled at making. After a brief fight he lets the monster hit him so he can feed it curry, and Usalia returns to normal. As she too has a beef against Void Dark, she joins the Rebel Army as well, though this time Killia protests more on account of her age than anything else.

Their next stop, Icic-Hell brings Killia face to face with Goldion again, even if he doesn't quite realize it at the time. Goldion was enslaved by Void Dark and became Bloodis, Void's top general known for his ebony full plate armor. Unfortunately this encounter with Bloodis goes so poorly that Killia needs to unleash Killidia momentarily just to save Seraphina-- a desperate move which shakes him to the core as he fears he really might lose someone again if he's not strong enough to protect them.

The next chapters of the story are dedicated to unraveling the truth behind Bloodis and how to deal with him-- which ultimately results in Killia and Zeroken (who joined shortly after Icic-Hell) teaming up to perform Avidya Holy Water, Goldion's supposed final skill. Though they fail a few times, they do wind up performing the skill correctly on Bloodis...with apparently no effect. They don't have much time to ponder their failure however, as Void Dark appears to taunt and mock them. He is at the least, genuinely surprised that Killia survived and the two even have a fight, even if it's incredibly one sided. Though Void intended to kill Killia and co, he gets called away and decides to spare them, if only for a little while.

By this point Killia's internal turmoil is beginning to spiral out of control, even if on the outside he's more amicable and caring than he's ever been. Despite this he helps Zeroken, Red Magnus, Christo and Usalia all conquer the evil within their hearts, which allows them to truly awaken as Overlords. In Zeroken's case this means he finally masters Avidya Holy Water, which one can only do if they have no darkness in their heart. Killia knows this isn't something he's capable of given the existence of Killidia, but ultimately feels like there's nothing he can do about it.

Eventually Killia reaches his breaking point in Fortress de Gaulle, even though he had done his best to surpress Killidia (by eating an increasingly exorbitant amount of food). When Seraphina appears to be cut down by the Lost in front of him it's too much, all he sees is Lieze again, and Killidia is completely unleashed. Killidia is able to dispatch of the Lost easily, but turns on his former allies just as easily as well, which would have been catastrophic if not for Seraphina reminding him of Lieze...again. He falls unconscious, and when he awakens in the Pocket Netherworld it's as Killia, thankfully. He is honest with the group and tells them that he was once Killidia, Tyrant Overlord of Cyroblood, but that meeting Lieze and Goldion changed him.

Unfortunately sharing his complete history with the Rebel Army does little to mollify Killia himself, as the situation hasn't changed. Void is still growing increasingly stronger by siphoning energy from other Netherworlds, and Killia still isn't strong enough to stop him. To make things even worse, the next target of Void's is Flowerful, the Netherworld where Goldion, Lieze, Killia, and Void all used to live. Being there undoubtedly does little for his growing anxiety, though Killia tries to assure the rest of the party even if he's clearly not doing well. Eventually Killia comes face to face with Bloodis again who taunts him once more, and Killia gives into Killidia again, this time voluntarily. Much to his surprise, he still can't beat Bloodis, who says it's because his heart is weak and full of self doubt. Finally it hits Killia that Killidia isn't really another person, but the manifestation of the doubt he carried with him, which took the form of his former self. After seeing all of his allies stand up for and believe in him, despite his doubts to the contrary, he finally and completely accepts himself faults and all. He may view himself as weak but that doesn't matter as others believe in him, and in trusting in them he realizes he no longer has to run from himself.

Like before Killia transforms again, this time with a light aura, new look, and a new Overload ability. For all intents and purposes this is Killia's true final form, combining all the strength of Killidia with his heart. This enables him to learn the true final skill, Macrocosm, from Bloodis midfight which he uses to finally overpower and defeats him. It turns out however, that Bloodis hadn't been brainwashed for quite sometime (not since Dark Testament when he was hit with Avidya Holy Water). Not wanting to tip off Void, Goldion had masqueraded as Bloodis in order to complete Killia's training as his apprentice so he could defeat Void. Unfortunately Goldion is mortally wounded from the fight and passes on not longer after, but with his true purpose fulfilled.

While it's arguable that Killia and co could have defeated Void with Macrocosm right away, they have to deal with the final magical spear first, which ironically had landed in Gorgeous. In the end after making Seraphina seeing that being poor really isn't the worst thing in the world, they are finally set to take on Void in his base.

The ensuing battle with Void is difficult because of his ability to flex from any number of Overlord skills, including Killia's old one, Alma Ice Sculpture. The power of Macrocosm is unparalleled however, and Void is finally defeated-- but not before detailing his entire reason for trying to take over the Netherworlds in the first place: to revive Lieze. By combining the powers of different Overload skills (including Killia's), it was possible to revive her fully, and not just as a zombie like Majorita's minions. As much as this revelation is shocking, Killia doesn't really have time to process it, as the energy Void had collected needed to be controlled somehow lest it destroy all of the Netherworlds. Fortunately Killia is able to control it and as Void wished, Lieze is revived complete and whole, though understandably very confused. Their cheerful reunion is short lived however, as she's soon attacked by the lingering spirit of Void who then merges with and corrupts her.

With Void's malevolence apart of her, Lieze begs Killia to kill her, as she's afraid they will destroy all of the Netherworlds otherwise. This is something Killia doesn't wish to do (nor does he think he can do), but he does fight her while trying to think of an alternative plan. Because Macrocosm is in a way, an evolved version of Avidya Holy Water, he decides to try to use it on her to cleanse Void from her body. On his own he doesn't have enough strength but after receiving the support of everyone else, he's able to do just that without harming her in the process. And in the end, despite the long journey Killia had taken to get here, he winds up getting Lieze back and a new family as well.

Material Regains:
Note: I'll be including the in game item descriptions where available as they're hilarious.

1.) Gold bar: For the Assembly. You know what to do...don't you?

It's just a plain gold bar, though.

2.) Medicine: For the Assembly. Sober up those drunken senators!

A bottle of medicine which does nothing other than to completely sober you up.

3.) Liezerota: A yellow flower encased in what appears to be a blue crystal. Looks pretty, but doesn't do anything.

4.) Megaphone: (RENEWABLE) A bright red megaphone that amplifies your voice! Some gunners have tried to use this as a weapon even though it really is just a normal megaphone.

5.) Hard Liquor: For the Assembly. Drunken up those sober senators!

Generic (Demon) Hard Liquor that will get you drunk pretty quickly.

Basic alignment: Chaotic Good: First and foremost, Killia is a demon. Mind you he's a demon who plays things incredibly straight forward and is a softie at heart. That being said, he has killed a lot before (a whole lot) and he doesn't try to disguise his quest for vengeance as good in any shape or form. He'll do whatever it personally takes to kill Void, even if he tries his best to keep others out of the line of fire.

And as a note, when he's in the mindset of Killidia he is very much stereotypically Chaotic Evil, as his strongest desire is to just conquer and destroy.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

Note: For the majority of Disgaea 5 Killia has another personality*, his past self, Tyrant Overlord Killidia. Given that he acts completely different as Killidia, I've written a strengths and weaknesses section for each (and Killia would play a large role if I was rolled). As a final note, Killia eventually accepts his past self towards the end of the game, and in doing so Killidia disappears.

* Later Killidia is referred to as the doubt in Killia's heart, but he essentially is another personality when it comes down to it.

Killia

Strengths: Broadly speaking, Killia is a cool and collected individual. He's stoic and reserved, which is a rare trait for a demon, but it allows him to make decisions without plunging in head first--most of the time at least. He's also straight forward and earnest, which makes him a good leader as he can settle arguments between others, something he does numerous times between Seraphina and Red Magnus. His genuine empathy for others (even if he tries to hide it) is also a boon as it lends to his leadership capabilities, and he is very much willing to help people in whatever ways he can once he's grown close to them. His intuition is rather good as well, which is not only helpful in battles but also helps him read others even if they try to deceive him, like Majorita.

Killia's willpower is insurmountable, as he literally crawled his way back from death to avenge Lieze, even though Void left him for dead. Being stripped of his Overload ability and basically being reset in terms of his power level didn't shake his resolve either, nor did literally being a one man army (in the beginning) against Void and his veritable legion of troops. It helps that he's also quite resourceful and able to make things work on the fly, like his idea to combine his and Zeroken's Avidya Holy Water to make it successful. Killia also manages to keep his demonic instincts (his past self) largely at bay, something which requires a lot of energy and resolve constantly, even while he's sleeping. He's also willing to make whatever sacrifices he personally needs to make in order to achieve his revenge, including putting himself in harms way if it means protecting others from Void.

Weaknesses: While Kilia has numerous weaknesses, the most apparent one is his obsession with vengeance. This desire for vengeance is rooted in his guilt about his past, that he carries with him constantly. To Killia, it's entirely his fault that Lieze died, something which he can never forgive himself for (and frankly he doesn't really want to). He's played the memory of her death in his head over so many times that it's become an honest fear: that someone else he cares about will get hurt because of him, or worse because of his inaction. In the short term this fear causes him to lose his head in the heat of the moment, and even causes him to regress to Killidia if the stress is too much. In the long term this fear paralyzes him and makes him try to distance himself from others, which is why he can come off cold and distant on first impression. Killia has a ton of self-doubt, and this is ultimately what causes the conflict (and existence) of Killidia in the first place. While he has no desire to become Killidia again, he does struggle with a yearning for his old power when things become difficult as he views himself as weak.

Like his past self, Killia is also quite stubborn, though in his case it mostly manifests in his desire to try to take on everything himself. Even as he grows closer to the other members of the rebel army, Killia tries to take on all the hardships himself, regardless of whether it would be easier to let the others help. It's less of a "I'm better than you" and more "No one should have to suffer from Void except me", but it still actively hinders him. Often times Killia would rather suffer on his own, then infringe on others.

Killidia

Strengths: When it comes to sheer determination and will power, Killidia is quite an impressive individual. Born into a Netherworld where it was either become stronger or die, he chose the former and embraced it entirely. As the Overlord of Cyroblood he was challenged daily for his title and life, and he endured time and time again. Though others might have broken under the fear and threat of his daily life, he took it all with stride and it only served to make him stronger and more resolute. Fear is for the weak, something he can never afford to be.

In a similar vein, Killidia is very individualistic, and doesn't let anything or anyone impede him. He doesn't hesitate-- if he wants something he takes it plain and simple. As much as he's willing to fight, he's also not afraid to mince words as he's ruthless, without a care in the world except for his own desires. Unbridled and unimpeded, he never doubts himself and is extremely confident in all of his actions. It's the embracing of his primal demonic nature that allows him to be incredibly powerful, as he's able to tap into his full potential , uninhibited.

Weakness: To say Killidia is headstrong is an extreme understatement. He is immensely caught up in his own hubris to the point where it blinds him, which ultimately led to him being subdued by Goldion. He is also quite hedonistic: death, destruction, and hilariously enough food are all things he enjoys to a fault. The latter in fact, is what Killia uses to keep Killidia under control.

Given that he's well, your typical tyrannical asshole, he doesn't do trust or friends well either (or at all really). While this is troublesome in and of itself, it's made worse by the fact that he actually gets lonely despite his denials to the contrary. This is made worse by the fact that he's tremendously stubborn too, and although he can think things through and be cunning (like his plan to use Goldion), he's ultimately rather impulsive when it comes down to it. Whether it's being being angry and storming off, or just plain killing someone, he's the type who prefers to do things his own way, difficulties be damned.

Skills and Abilities:

Combat: Killia is a strong combatant, having battled his way to the top of Cyroblood, the most savage Netherworld. He can use a variety of weapons: swords, axes, spears, bows, guns and most notably his own fists. His hands end in sharp claws, which is his preferred method of fighting. Additionally when compared to a human he's stronger, faster, and more durable given that he is a demon.

Tyrant Revelio: While Killia is pretty strong on his own, when he harnesses the power of Killidia his battle stats improve exponentially, which in practice just makes him stronger, faster and more hardy. Outwardly this manifests as a change in appearance, and later on when Killia accepts his former self his appearance changes again. Before he accepts his past sellf, this transformation isn't necessarily a conscious ability, as Killidia can overpower him when he's too weak to hold that side of himself back. He can however, choose to unleash this side of himself on his own though he does his best to refrain from doing so, as wrestling control back is difficult for him to do.

Flight(?): Though he has wings, he doesn't use them to fly but more to glide and maintain his momentum. Said wings are also very...flimsy and more resemble a scarf when he's not actively spreading them, which is apparently a quirk of demon anatomy.

Motives: First and foremost, to undo a mistake/choice in the past. Killia's prime motivation is his desire to avenge Lieze who was killed by Void Dark, which he views ultimately as his own fault. If he hadn't run away from Goldion's training, or even sent Lieze back home, she never would have been caught in the crossfire and would still be alive.

Beyond that, a motive which offered him more power would also be tempting as he knows he needs to become stronger in order to defeat Void. This would vary in effectiveness depending on what memories he currently recalls.

A hostage motive is likely to work on him as well, as he's fiercely protective of anyone he grows close to.

Would you prefer that your character be a victim, a culprit, or do you have no preference? Culprit! I want to be the reason for the Norman Bates clause this round.
Would you like to volunteer to have your character killed off? No thank you.
Would you be willing to have your character be a mole or a killswitch? If it makes sense, sure.
