[ Today had been yet another exhausting day but...it was finally done. Killia had finally, after weeks and weeks (and way too many hours) found the perfect one. It was a good thing too, because this final trip had left him physically exhausted and worn after fighting through an enthusiastic crowd of shoppers.

He stepped through the door of his house, calling out to shout to both girls goodbyes:]

Yeah, yeah I'll call you tomorrow okay? [ ... ] I won't forget to take that picture either, I promise. [ Man was he tired, he just wanted to curl up on the couch and take a breather. Which is promptly what he does, disheveled hair and all.]

[ Adjusting to the Netherworld had been surprisingly painless, Mikazuki had found, but if he was being honest here, he did not have any doubt that settling down would be difficult.

Still... he was well aware of Killia's history with the two women, and how Seraphina herself could be. He shouldn't have been listening to Killia speak like it was forbidden. His body was leaning against a wall just outside the livingroom the male was in. Then, when he enters in, takes a good look of the male's state... and he wonders why is it a bit rough looking.

His stomach twisted uncomfortably and he didn't know why, but, he wished Killia had told him the details. Why hadn't he, why-- ]

Killia? Are you still awake?

[deofoled]

[ He jumps a bit, he had just been nodding off.]

Mmn ah, yeah. What's up? [ Besides the fact that he looks like a mess and didn't even say hi but his brains running even slower than normal in the social department right now.]

[tsugomori]

Good, ah...well, sorry about that, but I was just a little curious about something.

[ Mikazuki steps a little closer to the other male, and before he knew it, closed their distance. He'll just smile, like he always does... ]

I was wondering, what had you out for so long?

[deofoled]

O-Oh it was... sorry I didn't realize you were here, I thought you'd still be out at the market getting tea. [ Which is why they had gone to great lengths to visit faraway Netherworlds in their search.]

I was gonna clean up and stuff before you got back, I didn't want you to see me like this...

[tsugomori]

[ Mikazuki twitched a little. What was that supposed to mean? He still wore a plastered smile on his face, though. But he began to poke a little more... ]

What do you mean? How come you look like this, then?

Was it because of something you were doing with the other two?

[deofoled]

[ Ack this wasn't the plan at all, he really had wanted to bathe and make himself look nice before Mikazuki got home. There's no point in lying so he nods and continues--]

You heard them didn't you? Seraphina always talks so loud I knew you might catch us, especially with how often we've been doing it.

[tsugomori]

[ Mikazuki fell silent at this moment, and he couldn't help it. The fact that, to him, right now, Killia's words sound too vague. He wasn't there to catch onto what they were saying.

He's always been the type to consider before acting. That's his modus operandi, no matter the moment, and that included now.

The male stepped forward, hand reaching out to the other man's shoulder. Now, he can't control the look in his eyes, which had an edge to them that wasn't there before. ]

I didn't hear a thing, except only your own words. Please explain to me -- I didn't catch you having a private moment with the Miss, did I? I'm important to you, aren't I?

[deofoled]

Of course-- [ You're important to me, the most important he was going to say but then he catches that look. He's still not really sure of the meaning behind Mikazuki's words but he can feel the tension, so he better act now.

Which means he takes a gulp and for once pulls away from the touch, because he's determined to do this properly. He's flushed again now and clearly very nervous as he stands up from the couch.]

Ah can you- hold on a second. There's something I need to say.

[tsugomori]

Ah... very well. What is it?

[ Mikazuki brought his hand back to his other one, and at that moment he thought it was logical to piece what had happened. Killia had gotten sick of him already. He didn't have anything to offer beyond being able to dance, fight, and sew.

He was bad at helping around the house even when he tried... he couldn't even cook. He felt like he was about to cry, as opposed to being angry.

So it was at this moment he sort of...tuned out. ]

I wanted to keep this a secret, but I guess you know by now. [ Cause he remembered that Mikazuki said he liked surprises, all that time ago.]

So I'm going to just come out and ask. [ He's so nervous that he doesn't even pick up that the mood is all wrong-- he's never felt like this in whole life even when they had been reunited on the other side.

He gets down on one knee.]

I'm sorry this took so long but I wanted to find the perfect one, but today I finally did. [ After fumbling in his pocket for a second for the box he opens it, and it should be immediately apparent why his search took him so long. For one the gem beset in the ring isn't just any normal one, but a large blue diamond that glimmers like the ocean. Second it's nested in even smaller diamonds, though it manages to do so without being overly showy (even though Seraphina had wanted him to add even more). Finally the ring itself isn't just made of regular gold either, but rose gold because flowers were important to their relationship which was Lieze's suggestion.

Just from a quick look at the ring it's clear it cost him way too much (like all of his savings but he doesn't care), but Killia wouldn't settle for anything less. He had wanted something that almost matched how beautiful Mikazuki was, and this came damn close.]

Will you marry me and be my mate forever?

[tsugomori]

I... I...

[ Wait, what?

This isn't what Mikazuki was expecting at all. It's really written on his face now, and then it just hits him... everything. Did he have it all wrong? Well, it didn't matter now because he burst into tears. He did say that he didn't mind whatever for the ring, just as long as he had one. But, for him to go to this extent...

The raven-haired male threw himself at Killia in the next moment, wrapping his arms around him tightly. Sorry if this makes it awkward, Killia.

At least these are happy tears. ]

Yes, yes of course!

[ Things he didn't expect: for Mikazuki to burst into tears and fling himself at him, so he's not prepared at all. So they're totally falling backwards onto the couch a bit awkwardly, but Killia somehow manages to hold onto the ring and his mate at the same time.]

Oof! D-do you like it? I wanted it to be blue because it makes me think of you, and Seraphina said it had to be a diamond because it's the most beautiful jewel but then Lieze told me about rose gold and flowers remind me of you.

[tsugomori]

[ Mikazuki even nuzzles his face against Killia happily... ]

I do, I love it! Ah, you didn't need to go through this much trouble for me. It's.. amazing. I hope it didn't cost you too much, but I still love it.

Oh, Killia, I...

[ He's a little flustered here, give him a moment. After even if Killia does give him a moment, he'll be receiving one hell of a long, very happy kiss. ]

[ Finally he can breathe a sigh of relief as he's nuzzled, and he starts smiling too.]

As long as you like it, it doesn't matter how much it cost. [ Like easily the price of a medium-sized Netherworld but details! And then when he's kissed he blushes and lets himself fall into the kiss. He could easily get lost in this feeling except--]

Let me put it on you, I wanna see how it looks.

[tsugomori]

[ Mikazuki pulls away a bit more as he nods, reaching out to gently take the ring, finally. Kind of like how he may should have before he tackled Killia, but he couldn't help himself. As... embarrassing as it was to admit.

He slides it carefully on his ringfinger and holds it out for Killia to see. ]

Well? I think it looks amazing on me, but... what do you think?

[deofoled]

It looks like really beautiful, even if it's still not as beautiful as you. [ And with that he's just going to curl up into Mikazuki's chest because all this excitement and shopping spree has left him kinda exhausted.]

Oh you had questions before, right?

[tsugomori]

Ah, well, yes...

[ Mikazuki began to lightly stroke at the other male's hair as he curls up against him, fingers careful and gentle, despite how nervous he feels. ]

But, I think I was just curious about what you and the other two had been talking about, so it's no longer an issue anymore, hahaha...

[deofoled]

[ He makes a happy sound and nuzzles into the other man's chest further.]

Oh, they've been helping me try to find the perfect ring for you but it took us a while...and today I even had a fight with merchant about it. [ He yawns sleepily.]

[tsugomori]

Oh, I see...

[ Mikazuki just continues on lightly combing his fingers through the blue-haired male's hair. He feels like a bit of a fool for assuming such a thing... and he thinks about something. But. He figures it's a good thing that Killia hadn't known... and so he'll keep his mouth shut. ]

Well, I am sure you reconciled with the merchant once he backed down, hm?

[deofoled]

[ There's a kinda mischievous smile on his face despite what he says.]

Yeah well...I paid him what we originally agree upon so it's fine. It's not like I broke a promise or anything- [ He suddenly sits up a bit straighter.]

Oh I was supposed to take a picture when I gave you the ring Lieze wanted- [ And from behind the couch springs a prinny with a camera in flipper.] Got it dood!"

[tsugomori]

[ He'll smile a little, noticing the mischievous smile. Now he's wondering how things went down... ]

I know that look by now. Now I'm curious to know what trouble came up~

[ Then he blinked and tilted his head... if he were someone who could also be surprised easily he probably would've jumped then. He's practically immune thanks to Tsurumaru's efforts back at the citadel... ]

[ He's smiling and even laughs a little at everything.]

No of when I gave it to you. [ Mikazuki gets a quick kiss before he turns to the Prinny:]

Thanks, how'd it come out?
See for yourself, dood! [ The prinny hands him the camera with the picture on the screen. Or what is kinda the picture because it's actually one of Mikazuki tackling Killia on the couch.]

You didn't tell me you were going to do it now, so I wasn't ready in time, dood.

[tsugomori]

[ Mikazuki blinked, his smile widening a bit at the kiss, and turned his head...

Well then. The sword spirit raises a hand to his mouth, as he gives out a soft, gentle laugh at the image. ]

My, my, I would say it came out great, didn't it, Killia?

It captured all the emotion and everything~

Yeah it's...it's exactly how we are.

[ With that settled he's going to nuzzle back up to Mikazuki again, mumbling to the Prinny as he does:] Thanks, I'll give you the extra sardine I promised you later. [ The prinny gives an enthusiastic nod before saluting and taking off with the camera.]

Ring shopping was exhausting, I hope planning the wedding is at least a bit easier...

[tsugomori]

I hope so too.

[ When Killia does, he'll wrap his arms around him this time in a warm embrace. ]

Then again, seeing as many would need to cross quite a few dimensions or so to get here, it may not be exactly simple per say. But, we could always try to make setting it up like that, because I'm not really looking for anything too extravagant.

[ Okay that is a bit of a lie, because lol Mikazuki's tastes, but still. ]

[ He's going to fall asleep like this he knows it, but the wedding talk perks him up for now.]

You're not? What are you looking for then?

[tsugomori]

I don't know. I just want it to be something we enjoy, so maybe something simple.

[ He paused, realizing he sort of contradicted himself a little and he laughed a bit. ]

Well, I don't want to keep you up worrying about this, so why don't we retire for the day? You look really tired.

[deofoled]

Okay, whatever you want. [ He yawns again and somehow manages to nuzzle in more.] I just need a nap, it's too early to sleep. [ It's like 8pm so he'd prob wake up way too early.]

But if you really want me to sleep, why don't you tell me a bedtime story? [ And now he's just going to cling to Mikazuki like this cause he doesn't want to move.]

[tsugomori]

[ Killia gets a gentle kiss on his forehead for his efforts. But, you know what? He wants his lover to rest comfortably, so he gently shifts the man in his arms. ]

Alright. Once upon a time there was a kingdom, and in that kingdom there was a sage. He worked long and hard, as he was employed by the kingdom to do so. He made sure that the kingdom was augmented properly against the threat of all evil that threatened to converge upon it.

Then, one day, he met another sage who was sent to work with him. They never got along because the other sage who just joined was young but liked going at a slow pace while the older one preferred to go at a break neck speed.

However, this changed once the older Sage realized the younger one made very good noodles and then they became very good friends. The End.

[ ... Mikazuki doesn't even know what a bedtime story technically is and he's never told one but he told a story, so-- ]

[ It doesn't take him long to drift off as his mate begins to speak, though he can still hear some words now and again. But there's one thing he hears clearly before he falls asleep:]

I wanna eat those noodles... [ He'll probably dream of noodles and want to make some tomorrow, and wonder why. But for now he'll sleep peacefully in his lover's arms.]
